IAG Performance is a well known leader in the Subaru Performance industry with unmatched levels of quality and impeccable reputation as an engine and parts builder.
It is widely recognized that Subaru's EJ and FA series engines have their constraints when exceeding 25% above stock power levels. IAG Performance tackles this issue by providing a variety of pre-configured options tailored to different power output ratings. The best part? These options come with a warranty when installed and tuned at Lakeview Automotive.
Please note that the power levels are achieved through supporting systems like forced induction and fueling system modifications; the short blocks are designed to handle the generated power output, not to produce it.
Power levels begin at 550 BHP for the entry-level option.

Aiming for a healthier-running Subaru, this Air Oil Separator (AOS) enhances the factory PCV system by effectively trapping harmful oil vapors from the crankcase before they enter the intake. This ensures a cleaner intake charge.
What makes oily crankcase vapors problematic?
When oil returns to the intake, it coats all surfaces within the intake tract. Once it arrives at the combustion chamber, it diminishes the octane rating of the air-fuel mixture, which can lead to detonation (knocking or pre-ignition). Detonation is the leading cause of reduced performance in Subaru engines.
Is this a catch can?
Somewhat, but it offers superior functionality compared to a catch can. Whereas a catch can ultimately extracts oil from your system, diminishing the scavenging effect of the PCV system, the AOS maintains the integrity of the PCV system while separating the oil from the air and directing it back into the oil sump, where it’s crucial for your Subaru. The purified air is then routed back into the intake just like in a conventional PCV system.
Will it freeze in the winter?
No, it won't freeze any more than a standard Subaru PCV system would. For added reassurance, this system is linked to the factory cooling system, providing heat during extremely cold days. Most freeze-ups occur due to improper installations and line routing. Make sure to have the team at Lakeview Automotive install your AOS for a job well executed.

The Subaru EJ oiling system leaves much to be desired, particularly for a turbocharged vehicle. At Lakeview Automotive, we find that the oiling system is a significant factor in over half of the Subaru engine failures we encounter daily.
To begin with, the oil capacity is just 4.3 liters, which is insufficient for a turbocharged engine that naturally consumes more oil. This low capacity allows little margin for error; if the engine runs low on oil, it can starve the rod bearings, leading to severe engine damage. The IAG Performance oil pan addresses this issue by boosting oil capacity by 30%. Additionally, this oil pan features cooling fins, which, combined with the increased capacity, significantly reduce oil temperatures under high-performance conditions.
Furthermore, during high-performance situations like cornering with high G-forces, the factory oil pan struggles to keep oil near the oil pickup. This poses a serious risk, as it can deprive the oil pump of necessary oil, consequently starving the engine and resulting in rod bearing failure—a critical engine malfunction. IAG Performance offers a solution with its baffle and windage tray, designed to maintain oil where it’s needed most, making it an essential upgrade for any Subaru used on the track.
Lastly, the oil pickup itself is prone to failure, often cracking around the welds, which again starves the oil pump and, subsequently, the engine, leading to rod bearing failure. IAG Performance mitigates this risk by redesigning the OEM Subaru pickup with superior materials, eliminating inherent flaws.
In summary, the IAG Performance oil pan package is essential for any Subaru equipped with the EJ25 engines (STI, WRX). Even stock vehicles will benefit from these oiling system enhancements, preventing severe and expensive engine failures. At Lakeview Automotive, we install this kit on a daily basis.

As mentioned above, the Subaru oiling system leaves somethings to be desired. While the OEM Subaru 11mm pump is adequate for mild builds, once higher power levels are achieved with a built motor and its looser tolerances, more flow is needed. Especially under track use where oil temps start climbing and pressure starts dropping.
IAG Performance has us covered by CNC porting and blueprinting the Subaru OEM 11mm pump. The results are 11.1% more oil than the OEM 12mm Oil Pump, and 12.4% higher than the OEM 11mm Oil Pump.
At Lakeview Automotive we stock and install the IAG Performance stage 2 oil pumps.
