With extensive experience on the Subaru platform Lakeview Automotive is the spot in Calgary for Subaru ECU dyno tuning.
A custom pro-tune is the ultimate step to take in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and longevity of your Subaru performance Build. It involves a licensed Tuner testing and optimizing all engine computer parameters on your Subaru live on our AWD Dynamometer. This process creates a specialized ECU map for your specific engine setup, modification(s), and fuel type. We strive to make peak power, SAFELY.
We utilize the ECUTEK or COBB custom tuning platforms, enabling us to optimize the performance of your OEM Subaru ECU in conjunction with various enhancements such as catless downpipes, TGV delete, and Airpump delete.
Tuning options including speed density, flex fuel, flat foot shifting, launch control, multiple maps, auto blip, and more.
We ask for a mandatory Pre-Dyno inspection before any tune.
What is a Pre-Dyno inspection?
A Subaru Pre-dyno inspection is a 3-4 hour inspection that entails:
- Cylinder leak down and compression test to insure that the engine internals are healthy.
- Boost leak check to insure that the turbocharger system is sealed and no boost is escaping.
- Oil filter analysis to insure no bearing material is present indicating rod bearing wear / failure.
Why do we demand a Pre-Dyno inspection?
The art of Dyno Tuning a Subaru engine entails delicately fine-tuning every electronically controlled parameter to attain peak performance. This can only be achieved when the mechanical components are flawlessly operating and in absolute harmony. Our Pre-Dyno inspection effectively limits any possibility of engine malfunctions during the tuning process. The infamous "horror stories" circulating online can primarily be attributed to two reasons: inexperienced or untrained individuals attempting to tune and / or neglecting essential preliminary inspections, leading to minor problems escalating into catastrophic failures on the dyno, where all systems are put to the ultimate test.
By employing this measure, all safety risks and potential harm to the body and suspension are effectively minimized during the dyno process. Your Subaru will attain roller speeds exceeding 240kph on the dyno. The presence of a faulty suspension component, for instance, can give rise to significant safety concerns and result in expensive damage to your vehicle. Our aim is to identify and address any forthcoming issues before they materialize, ensuring their prevention.
Dyno time comes with a price tag, and, this procedure effectively prevents most breakdowns and time-consuming setbacks during dyno sessions. Let's detect any issues before they become a problem on the rollers!
