You’ve got your playlist ready, your plans set and so you take off in your sleek
Ford
or
Subaru. But as soon as you hit the road, you feel your car start to shake and vibrate. Never a good feeling, not the kind of ‘good vibrations’ you want to pick up.
There are several reasons for this, bring your car by to Lakeview Automotive so we can take a look at any of these things:
Your tires
Your tires can be imbalanced, worn out unevenly, damaged, have a loose lug nuts or more. Having regular tire inspections at Lakeview Automotive will benefit your
tire performance. We will adjust your tire pressure, rotate your tires, balance your wheels and check the tightness of your lug nuts.
Your suspension
If parts are loose in your steering system, you will experience car vibrations. Let Lakeview Automotive inspect your ball joints or tie rod ends to ensure they’re not worn as this will affect your alignment.
Your engine and transmission
If you feel your car shaking when you are driving but also when you are parked with the engine running, Lakeview Automotive will take a peek at your engine and transmission. A broken radiator fan, or perhaps a loose engine mount could be the culprit in this case.
Your brake rotors
If the vibration and shaking is coming from your brake pedal, taking a peek at your brake rotors would be a starting point for us at
Lakeview Automotive. Excessive run out or thickness variation could be the reason here, causing steering wheel and pedal shake.
